new vocabulary (looked up by me in past few months)

new vocabulary words – August 2023

I have been told that I have an excellent vocabulary. Yet I keep learning new words from my reading.

See Word document above.

Love this! I appreciate your lists, as I have kept words that I find in what I read…I still have a list of words that I learned about 30 years ago when I read “World’s End” by TC Boyle tucked into my old dictionary. I also subscribe to a Word of the Day email…Thanks for your list!

Thank you, Micheal … I used to underline words and passages from my reading, but now I take notes (electronically, usually by emailing myself) as I read. I am surprised at how many words I keep discovering. Some are obsolete words or Britishisms. It is pleasurable and enriching to keep expanding my vocabulary.
